Edvard Vince – TALC magazine

In the beginning, when »Talc«, a design magazine for adults in modern times, came into being, there was the internet. Designer Edvard Vince and the author and strategy developer Fauzia Musa launched a kickstarter campaign, because they wanted to be independent and start a magazine free from the constraints that an alliance with a traditional publisher would imply. Their crowd-funding concept has proved to be successful. »Talc magazine« - subtitled »Visual Stimulus« - brought the first print edition to the market in 2013. Vince and Musa are very much in favour of print, because they are convinced that nothing can replace the haptic value and the genuine impression of paper, and there is nothing to top the sensual appearance of the printed surface.

However, »porn«, their self-chosen label is not necessarily about pornography. Rather it refers to a vague concept that has become part of everyday linguistics, and has lost its contours. »Porn« today means pictures, objects, facts that are closely linked to the concepts of aesthetics and culture. »Talc« is about beauty, sexual identity, body feeling(s) and (the) body image(s). It’s erotic, sensual, exciting – and very different from your traditional idea of »porn«.

»Talc« sells in more than 25 countries, including the cities of Paris, Berlin, New York, LA and Florence. It offers social media links via Instagram (http://instagram.com/talcmagazine) and  Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/TALCmagazine).
