Jörg Dommel began his career in print production. He continued his professional development by studying graphic design at the Academy of Fine Arts, Nuremberg, Germany. Under the tutelage of Friederike Girst and Holger Felten, he focussed on illustration and photography. Ever since, he has been freelancing as an illustrator for various magazines and daily newspapers. In addition to his commercial illustrations, he works on his own projects focussing on subjects such as meals, happiness, power, the risk of a living a long life and experiments with pictograms for books.
