Born in 1957 in Sylt, father of four grown children. As an illustrator and art director, he worked until 1996 for many well-known national and international publishers, agencies and companies. After that, he worked for 18 years at Der Spiegel, including 13 years as the title chief and art director. The end of 2014, he founded the Hong Kong Studios in Hamburg. In a former warehouse built on over 400 sqm a creative laboratory for graphic design, workshops, art and photography.
