Prof. Rüdiger Quass von Deyen is a partner at the design agency KD1 www.kd1.com in Cologne and professor of communication design at Münster University of Applied Sciences. Among other projects in the field of communication design, he works together with Felix Scheinberger as tutors of a class in editorial illustration run as a collaborative project with students from communication design and illustration. In cooperation with magazines such as “Harvard Business Manager”, “Page” or “Psychologie heute” as well as various publishers including “Büchergilde”, students are given realistic tasks with a practical orientation and asked to find a design solution which will be published. As a result of his daily work at the agency and his collaborative work with the students of the university, he is well-versed and very experienced in the art of evaluating target-oriented illustrations.
